Ready To Be Led Astray

After I blogged about the War On Penis Enlargement, (that's right, Blame Canada) people have written in to point out that
  1. Republican candidate Sarah Palin looks a lot like Austin Powers
  2. Nobody knows how to pronounce "VPILF"
  3. John McCain seems to fancy her.

Just watch his body language in this video: the way he keeps staring at her breasts, and fidgeting with his wedding ring. Is he Ready To Lead ... or ready to be led astray?

The guy clearly needs some up-to-date advice on dating techniques.

Or possibly just to remember that he's married. To a very wealthy woman, who owns a brewery. I mean, a lot of men would be very happy with that.

Well spotted Gordie - but it obviously isn't reciprocated.
She's as cool as her home state isn't she?
That's not 'cool' in a good way - obviously.

When Palin heard the results of the Democratic nominations, her response (allegedly) was “So Sambo beat the bitch!”

Right-wing bloggers are now denying this outrageous slur, which is unreliable because the waitress who overheard Palin say it is (clears throat) "half Aboriginal".

was that Julie Andrews? (sorry for inane comment, but I just cannot do politics)

actually, the whole thing on solo's blog was very informative. . .

(and, just out of interest - what does the USVP do all day long then? and why do they refer to her child as an infant, and that awful word "it", without giving the child a sex?)

Yes, that was Julie, on the My Fair Lady OST I think (Audrey got the film role, but Julie was a much better singer. Oh dear, I'm gay again.)

Palin's children are called Bristol, Piper, Willow, Track and Trig, so we can be forgiven for not knowing whether to say 'he' or 'she'. Trig Paxson Van Palin (see what I mean?) was born on April 18th 2008, so I think he qualifies as an 'infant'.

The job of the VP is to wait for the Pres to die; since McCain would be the oldest ever President, and is in remission from cancer, it's quite likely that Palin could become the first female President between now and 2012.
